CERTIFICATION ISO 22000 : 2005
The ISO 22000 is a standard voluntarily adopted by food business operators (who works directly or indirectly throughout the food chain, including manufacturers of packaging materials, cleaning agents, additives and ingredients) and was written by a work group composed of experts from 23 different nations of the world and representatives of international organizations, such as the Codex Alimentarius Commission, the International Association of hotels and restaurants, the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and the Confederation of food Processing Industries of the European Union (CIAA).
Although not mandatory, this standard is actually the reference point for the operators for the application of EU regulations on hygiene and food safety as it allows to accurately identify the risks and manage them effectively.
SCA chose, the first in its sector in Italy, to comply with this rule to show to its customers the company's commitment in the food safety and compliance with its production to the food safety standards and ensure an effective control of various risk factors.
CERTIFICATION ISO 9001 : 2008
The ISO 9000 series standards was produced by ISO (International Organization for Standardization) to define the international requirements for quality management systems. The ISO 9001 standard is the most widely known and used for quality management systems in the world. More than one million Companies are certified with this standard in 170 different countries. This standard is applied to those processes of the organization that have an impact on quality. It places an emphasis on the continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
SCA has chosen, first in its sector since the 90ies, to comply with this rule to demonstrate to its customers to have prepared all the necessary internal measures to face all the quality requirements and that, therefore, the quality management system complies with a standard of excellence being able to guarantee its customers the best management of the contract.
